Smith - Myron

"Whitlock News" -- Myron Smith died last Sunday near Whitlock and was interred in the Meharry Cemetery on Tuesday. He was born in Pittstown NY Feb 19, 1800, and was married April 6, 1825 to Miss Julia A. WILLSON, a sister of the late Col. SC Willson at Cherry Valley, NY. In 1844 they removed to this city and shortly afterwards they rented a farm in Coal Creek Township. By economy and hard labor he soon saved enough money to purchase the farm where he died. His wife died August 18, 187. Mr. Smith was a Methodist and has always been a Democrat. - transcribed by kbz
